The List 2022. 24/05/2022

Posted by Matt Rowson in Thoughts about things.

The List.  Every player to have been linked with moves in or out since the closure of the January window. To be kept up to date until the closure of the window so bookmark if you Like This Sort Of Thing.  A very low bar of credibility is employed, but a mere “I think Watford should sign…” falls below it.  Previous windows’ lists linked at foot of article.  Similar number of outs to ins as I write.  Ho hum…

* Indicates player linked in previous windows

1. Ray Knight - 24/05/2022

We won’t be getting the Lazio GK now because of the drop. There are now reports that we will be getting bids in for Joao Pedro and Cucho, but hope we keep one of those guys, preferably the latter. Sarr, Dennis almost certain to go and Kamara could also attract bids. Would be a shame to lose Sissoko, but beyond those mentioned quite relaxed about losing most of the rest.

2. Andrew Mitchell - 24/05/2022

Kucka linked to Parma tonight (24/5) after his confirmation he has left Watford.

Matt Rowson - 24/05/2022

He’s on loan from Parma, so that’s more a default than a rumour

3. Ray Knight - 24/05/2022

Incidentally Matt, many of the top players who went over last 2 years are doing fine. Watched Udinese win 4 nil the other night. Del-boy and Perayra both scored, did the pressing and counter-attacked constantly. Pussetto and Success have also waded in with goals recently. At Villereal Capoue is an ever present legend in a side punching well above it’s weight. Doucoure has been one of Everton’s better players in a difficult season and Hughes has been good for CP when given his chance. We have also missed leadership from guys like Deeney and Chalobah, albeit injuris have caught up with them this year. Makes me think you only appreciate things when they’re gone.

Harefield Hornet - 24/05/2022

With the exception of Success and I suppose Pussetto
all of the above have been sorely missed in my opinion. Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course, but I think deep down we all suspected this years patch work squad was going to struggle ??
